Two independent tests support quick alerts, smooth tracking, fast panning and an approachable app. One test recorded occasional streaming issues and another measured a one-to-two-second audiovisual delay, so it is good value rather than latency-free.

eufy documents encrypted account and device access generally, but the reviewed current sources do not give a complete E220-specific encryption architecture.
Account security
Optional two-factor authentication is available in the eufy Security app and challenges a new device with a trusted-device verification code.
Where recordings go
The E220 supports local microSD and NAS/RTSP recording plus optional cloud backup. Local-only use still requires a eufy account for remote app access and notifications.
Deletion controls
The eufy Security app provides account deletion, and local recordings can be selected and deleted or the microSD storage formatted.

eufy recommends installing firmware security updates, but no E220-specific end-of-support date was found.
Advisory history
Bitdefender disclosed vulnerabilities in the eufy 2K Indoor Camera platform in 2022, including CVE-2021-3555 and firmware-update weaknesses; eufy confirmed fixes were available by April 2022. Buyers should still keep firmware current.
